Our Exclusive Diamond Selection Process
At Desert Brilliance, we carry only the finest quality diamonds and jewelry. We use an extremely selective process when choosing our inventory. Only those diamonds that meet our rigorous standards of quality and brilliance are available for purchase. Other jewelers will charge a substantial premium for diamonds that meet our standards. At Desert Brilliance we don't charge extra for quality, so you can have the assurance that you are buying the best quality diamond at the lowest price available anywhere.
Our selection Criteria
Most jewelers will only mention the 4 C's of diamond quality. While the 4 C's are important, even diamonds with ideal color and clarity can be dull and unattractive. In order for you to get the best quality diamond with maximum brilliance, our diamonds are also graded on the following criteria:
| Depth Percentage |
The most desirable diamonds are cut to specific parameters to maximize light reflection. An ideally cut diamond reflects a maximum amount of light making it sparkle beyond other marginally cut diamonds. The depth percentage is a measurement of the cut quality. Other jewelers will charge you a high premium for ideally cut diamonds or may not even carry them at all. A diamond with perfect characteristics will look unattractive with a shallow or deep depth percentage. At Desert Brilliance we only stock diamonds with depth percentages which will maximize brilliance giving you the best, most brilliant diamonds available without charging a premium price.

| Polish |
Diamonds are cut from rough crystals and need to be polished. Polishing the diamond removes a small amount of material and leaves the surfaces smooth. Diamonds are priced according to weight and since polishing removes material, a highly polished diamond is very valuable and desirable. |
| Symmetry |
Diamond symmetry refers to the precision of the shape and facet arrangement. Offset facets, culet, girdle, or table measurements will give the diamond a noticeable awkward appearance. Symmetry is especially important in high quality diamonds.
|
| Fluorescence |
When placed under UV light some diamonds will emit a blue fluorescent light. Colorless or near-colorless diamonds with fluorescence should be avoided because they have the tendency to give the diamond an oily or murky appearance. |
These and other largely ignored diamond criteria substantially impact a diamond's brilliance and quality of appearance. At Desert Brilliance, we consider all of these important factors and only carry diamonds that meet every standard. The result is the brightest, most beautiful diamonds available anywhere in the world at tremendous savings to the customer.
